Benign moles

Moles and other skin lesions e.g. age warts (seborrhoeic keratoses) can be removed for cosmetic reasons or if they are causing problems by rubbing on clothing for example. Often analysis of the skin lesion is advised to rule out cancerous change. Occasionally these lesions can be treated non-surgically e.g. with freezing treatment (cryotherapy). The surgery is carried out under local anaesthetic often at the time of your consultation.
